APPLY TECHNOLOGY & MEDIA

Plans and designs effective learning environments and experiences supported by technology

  • EDCI 569-Introduction to E-Learning- Paper Prototype Assignment

    • In EDCI 569, I worked on an e-learning prototype for my current organization Paycor where I designed a stand-alone e-learning course on the subject of effective telephone communication for employees who have client facing positions. This allowed learners to listen to live calls between employees and clients. Through this training, employees will have an interactive experience to engage in the employee expectations on this subject area.

Applies technology to facilitate a variety of effective assessment and evaluation strategies

  • EDCI 569-Introduction to E-Learning- Paper Prototype Assignment

    • In EDCI 569, this same paper prototype allowed me to design some assessment and evaluation tools for the Paycor e-learning course. I designed a pre-assessment and post-assessment measuring the learner’s knowledge on various customer service skills before completing this course. Following the course, learners completed a short survey evaluating their knowledge. The goal was for this course to increase their knowledge and confidence.

Demonstrates understanding of social, ethical, legal and human issues surrounding LDT issues and practice

  • EDCI 577-Strategic Assessment and Evaluation-Evaluation Plan

    • In this course, I was in a strict confidentiality agreement as the course evaluator as I was working with several company safety standards which could not be shared publicly. This information was also asked not be shared with anyone except my instructor due to legal concerns.

  • Throughout the several courses completed at Purdue, I understand each opportunity while working with clients, it is critical to keep in mind the legal and ethical concerns the client may have while working on course work for their organization.

  • In my EDCI 577 project, the client has asked me to not use their name in any documentation shared with the course due to legal reasons. In this situation, and any such as this it seems vital to have open communication.
